Review: Arbonne Powder Eyeshadows

Just recently purchased some eye shadows from Arbonne online and received them earlier this week! Here is my full review on the four shadows I received.

Arbonne has 20 shades of eyeshadows that cost $19.00 each, and you can find them here.

The four eyeshadows that I picked up are in the shades "divine plum," a shimmery rosy purple, "blue slate," a brilliant shimmery blue, "midnight," a black matte shade, and "smoke," a metallic shimmery silver-taupe shade.

What Arbonne Says: "Richly pigmented, mineral infused eye shadow is blendable and long-wearing'.

Packaging
Arbonne always have great packing with all of its products, especially it's cosmetics. One of the reasons I was really excited to try these shadows in the first place was because of the packaging... they looked like very expensive, high quality eye shadows. There is also a great variety of colors.

Price
I believe that these eye shadows are a bit overpriced at nearly $20 per shadow. The size is good, however the pigmentation of the product isn't great.  I've gotten better quality shadows from my little Origins counter for $16. The nice thing about this is that because I am considered an independent consultant, I get an extra 35% off these products, making the eye shadows about $12 a piece, a much more  appropriate price.

Pigmentation
The pigmentation isn't great. You can see from my swatches the colors look pretty pigmented, and on my arms they do. However, the application was a bit different.

Application
The pigmentation seems pretty good on my arms (using my finger), but when I attempted to apply them to my eye with a brush, it was difficult to get the shadows from the palette to my brush and then to my eye. I had to put on layer after layer after layer to get the color to show up. They were fairly easy to blend. I am so bummed because the colors look so pretty in the package!

My overall thoughts are that I was super excited to try this and I was a little bummed with the pigmentation. The color looks great until it went on my eye. However, I'm going to try some of the other neutral shades to see if I like those better... stay tuned for that review!
